today marks the very first day of fall, and i am finally willing to let summer slip away, and welcome autumn with open arms.
i'm ready for its heartiness.
ready for baked apple pie
candles and warm wool socks.
ready for hikes in the
leaves.
ready for it's freshness.
ready for dark red nails
and blankets on the couch.
yeah. i guess i'm ready for that.
ciao summer.
life starts all over
again when it gets crisp in the fall.

ps-if you live in niagara, the 'fall handmade market' is happening this weekend.
i was able to go with a few girly friends last night, and snagged some good stuff. the market is being held at 13th street winery,
so if something doesn't tickle your fancy to buy, you can always get shit faced.

Aw man, naturally I find out about the craft fair 30 minutes after it closes. Boo! I should probably save my pennies for City of Craft anyhow. I wanted to buy the whole show last year! And I guess I could get hand made goodies for those on my gift list, too.... I guess.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for fall, too. For the first time ever I am doing a little traveling (nowhere exotic) in the autumn, and I am looking forward to crisp afternoon walks in foreign places. Can I call it foreign if it's still in Canada? I vote yes.

Shit! I thought it was running all weekend, I'm sorry friend! City of Craft eh? I will have to check that out for sure! That's the problem with craft shows and markets, I want to buy everything!
DeleteI have wanted to go away for a fall weekend for the longest time! I hear St.Jacobs is lovely--I may need to plan something ;) Of course it is, it's foreign to you! Have so much fun :)
You make autumn sound so romantic. It's funny how we approach opposite seasons all the time. I'm over the cold and ready for summer!
ReplyDeleteYou gotta make the most of it sweet cheeks! I know. I get to experience 2 seasons at once because of you!
