someone asked me what home was
and all i could think of were the stars
on the tip
of your tongue.
the flowers sprouting from your mouth
the roots
entwined
in the gaps
between your fingers
the ocean echohing
inside of your
ribcage.

This may not come as a surprise to you - when I was 16 my parents went away for the weekend and I painted my bedroom "Chinese Red" and covered that with black marker with the words of ee cummings and Ezra Pound. - Maj xo
ReplyDeleteMajah! I immediately had to search for Ezra Pound works and am swoooooning over here: "and life slips by like a field mouse, not shaking the grass". And you're right, I'm not surprised, in the least. You are infinitely beautiful, inside and out. xo
